Ready to explore how therapy can support your journey?

I invite you to schedule a consultation to see if Kaizen Pathways is the right fit for you.

Fees & Insurance

Navigating the cost of therapy is an important part of your decision-making process. At Kaizen Pathways, my goal is to make high-quality mental health support as accessible as possible.

Session Rates

My fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is [—].

Payment for sessions is typically due at the time of service. I accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), as well as HSA/FSA cards.

Insurance & Payment Options

I understand that utilizing insurance benefits can significantly help manage the cost of therapy.

  • In-Network Insurance: I am currently paneled with a variety of insurance plans through Headway. This allows many clients to use their in-network benefits, often resulting in a co-pay or co-insurance per session. Headway handles the credentialing, billing, and claims submission directly, simplifying the process for you. Please check your specific plan benefits for mental health services.

    • To verify your benefits through Headway, you can [Link to Headway/Your Scheduling Page where they can verify].

  • Out-of-Network (OON) & Superbills: If I am not in-network with your insurance provider, you may still be able to receive reimbursement for a portion of your session fees through your out-of-network benefits. I can provide you with a "Superbill" – a detailed receipt of services rendered – which you can submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to inquire about your out-of-network mental health benefits and reimbursement process.

  • Sliding Scale Availability: I reserve a limited number of spots for clients who demonstrate financial need. If my standard fee is a barrier to accessing care, please inquire about my sliding scale availability during your free 15-minute consultation. These spots are offered on a case-by-case basis.

Questions about Fees or Insurance?

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions regarding fees, insurance, or payment options. I'm here to help clarify the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your first session, often called an intake session, is primarily about getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy. It's a relaxed, collaborative conversation, not an interrogation.

    • Paperwork: You'll likely complete some initial intake paperwork before the session, which helps me understand your background and what you're hoping to achieve.

    • Your Story: I'll invite you to share what has led you to seek therapy now. This could involve current challenges, feelings you're experiencing, or significant life events. You don't need to have everything perfectly clear – we'll figure it out together.

    • My Approach: I'll explain more about my therapeutic style and how we might work together.

    • Questions: This is also your opportunity to ask me any questions you have about the process, my experience, or what to expect from our work.

    • Goals: We'll begin to discuss your initial goals for therapy. Don't worry if you don't have them fully defined; identifying goals is often part of the therapeutic journey.

    • Next Steps: At the end of the session, we'll discuss if it feels like a good fit and, if so, schedule our next appointment.ption text goes here

  • I provide individual therapy for adults aged 18 and older. My passion and expertise are in supporting individuals navigating trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship issues, and experiences of domestic violence. My approach is affirming and inclusive.

While I strive to help as many individuals as possible, there are certain situations where I may not be the best fit, or where a different level of care is required:

    • Minors (under 18): My practice is exclusively for adults.

    • Couples or Family Therapy: My services are focused solely on individual therapy at this time.

    • Severe Crisis/Acute Risk: If you are experiencing severe and persistent suicidal ideation, psychosis, or require immediate crisis intervention or a higher level of care (such as intensive outpatient or inpatient programs), I may not be able to provide the appropriate level of support. In such cases, I can offer referrals to resources that specialize in those areas.

    • Court-Ordered Therapy / Custody Evaluations: I do not provide services for court-mandated therapy, forensic evaluations, or child custody assessments.

  • Clear policies help ensure consistent care and respect for both your time and mine.

    • Cancellations & Rescheduling: Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments (no-shows), will be subject to the full session fee. This fee cannot be billed to insurance. I understand that emergencies happen, so please communicate with me as soon as possible in such circumstances.

    • Late Arrivals: If you arrive late to your session, we will still end at the scheduled time to ensure my schedule remains on track for other clients. The full session fee will apply.

    • Confidentiality: Confidentiality is a cornerstone of effective therapy and is something I take very seriously. What you share in our sessions is protected by law and professional ethical standards. This means I cannot disclose any information about your attendance or what we discuss without your explicit written permission.

Exceptions to Confidentiality: There are a few legal and ethical exceptions where I am mandated to break confidentiality. These include:

      • If I believe you are an immediate danger to yourself or others.

      • If there is suspected child abuse, elder abuse, or dependent adult abuse.

      • If I receive a court order (subpoena) requiring the release of records.

      • In the event of a medical emergency.

      • For the purpose of supervision or consultation with other mental health professionals, always protecting your identity and ensuring the highest ethical standards.
